I'm somewhat of an introvert, but I've never had a boyfriend, been on a date, or even been asked out. Is that normal?
Same here, although I have asked out girls before. After a while I just stopped caring about putting my emotions out there only to have some girl not return the feeling. However, if it's a boyfriend that you want then try asking men out. This is the 21st century, women are starting to have some social equality to men. I suggest asking a guy out instead of waiting for him to come to you.
To the OP, it's much easier for girls to get dates than guys-unless you look like a fat nerd with glasses. If that's the case, just change your look-girls have the advantage of using makeup so they can pretend to be attractive and can style/color their hair.
If you have nice boobs, show them off (but not in a vulgar way). Trust me, when it comes to dating women have a huge advantage.
A guy has to look like James Bond, have money, a PhD and be able to dance and charm the pants off a girl before she'll give him a chance.
Ok I'm exaggerating a little but still, as I guy I know first hand the challenges we face-plus we're competing with other guys with similar or better qualities.
Also your standards could be too high-many factors could be limiting your social life.

How old are you? 18 year olds are adults too, technically speaking. If you'd like to go on a date with someone, try to be more confident, more social. That way you'll meet more men, thus your chances of dating someone will increase

Same with me. But I've had a few propositions. Would you like to go out with someone? To make friends, usually take a class or join a club and get to know the person. Maybe dating a friend is better than seeing a complete stranger? At least, you already know them. It's normal, but try to expand your horizons:)
