Is it normal that i'm always thirsty or always have to pee?

I know that a lot of girls have this problem, but in my case it's been getting pretty extreme.

I run long distance, so I always drink a lot of water. It's become a habit of mine that even on days when I don't plan to run if I'm not CONSTANTLY drinking water I feel like I'm dying of thirst. But that means that I literally have to pee every five minutes.

It's gotten to the point that everyone notices it. Some of my friends have been joking about it, trying to diagnose me with "diseases" like saying I might be pregnant of diabetic or something. But really it's gotten to the point that it's ridiculous. I go through a ridiculous amount of toilet paper with this problem, and I'm constantly having to replace the soap in my bathroom.

So my question is, is it normal that I'm either always thirsty or always have to pee?

As a retired nurse, I'm telling you to make an appointment with your regular physician, tell him everything you told us. There are several tests that he may need to take in order to rule out other illnesses. Please, Please go to your Doctor ASAP.
    Good luck & take care

There could be many things... Yes it is a sign of diabetes... But if you are in shape an it doesn't really run in your family it might not be diabetes mellitus(what people think of when they think diabetes) it could be diabetes insipidus, which is your body's inability to control the hormone ADH( anti diuretic hormone) which basically prevents you from reabsorbing eater in your kidneys, causing constant urination (polyurea) and constant thirst (polydypsia)

I mean, that really IS a sign of diabetes. I'm not a doctor by all means, but if it's a noticeable amount to yourself and others then I would see a doctor. I drink about a gallon of water a day and I urinate more frequently than most people I know, but most people seem to not drink very many fluids throughout the day.

Let the doctor run a few tests on your urine just to reassure yourself.

Go to the doctors, it could be worse then a UTI.
