Is it normal that i'm always sad?

I'm always sad or upset. I could be having the best day ever but in the back if my mind I'm always sad. I feel this weight on my heart constantly, it always feels so heavy. I try to talk to my parents but they think in being dramatic. But when I'm alone I cry all the time.

That's bad advice. You shouldn't advocate alcohol as a solution to the OP's problems.

Oh for christ's sake; get a sense of humor.

Firstly, IF you're going to use a semicolon, then at least learn how to use one properly.

Secondly, I find it funny that you (being a self-proclaimed 'atheist' and all) would use an expression like 'for Christ's sake.'

Thirdly, I have a feeling you made your comment to me only after reading Coracook's reply to my comment. Obviously, she wasn't saying it in a joking manner. CoraCook's comment DID come off as a suggestion regardless of whether she intended it to or not. I said what I said because the OP seemed like they needed some genuine advice. OP seems like they could be dealing with depression. Alcohol is fine in moderation for healthy-minded people, but for people dealing with depression or similar mental distresses, alcohol has the potential to make the original problem much worse. Alcoholism itself is no joking matter either.

Furthermore, I have a great sense of humor. I'll bet my sense of humor is probably better than yours too. If you knew me better you mightn't have even said that. I've been on here a long time and I love cracking jokes and making people laugh. I'm not sure why you would be negative towards me, but maybe I've said some things you didn't like before? All I've got to say is if you have something personal against me, then just say it. Come out with it, and let us be done.

Jesus, fucking christ; preachy, preachy, preachy.
It's fucking people like you who drive me crazy. If you have something to say to the OP, who solicited comments, then do so, but for fuck's sake get off CoraCook's back for cracking a funny. I thought it WAS funny. If I suggested you take a shit in the middle of a busy freeway, would you do it to solve your problem? Please?
As for the rest of your twaddle, who gives a flying fuck? I certainly don't. So save the typing fingers all that work, cause I have no desire to read your bullshit, no matter how long you've been on IIN.
            bye, bye, bye....

Coracook, I have nothing against you. You seem like a good user. I'm sure you didn't mean any harm. Sorry if I in any way misinterpreted what you said. I only meant well towards the OP.

It was funny, honey. Stop apologizing, please. Shackleford96 is just an old stick in the mud, pay it no attention. Keep 'em coming. LOL.

It's normal if you're suffering from depression.

How old are you? Boy or girl? Still in high school? Not yet in high school? Live in a home w/ 2 parents who get along or in an orphanage?
All this stuff would help us help you.

    Dear troubled,

There might have something bad happened to you earlier in life, rather a horrible breakup with someone you still love, perhaps someone or a pet you were close to passed away, or could be you had a falling out with someone you know. Whatever the case may be, know that people care about you and perhaps want a chance with you. Do whatever makes you happy. If the depression is super sever, follow didtav's advice and go see a psychiatrist. However, my recommendation could be going to social clubs and communities, and helping others. Or there are some things you eat that can also alter moods. perhaps eating less red meats and more white meats might help calm down depression. There is also a technique I would try is complementing yourself by looking at yourself through the mirror. You are an amazing individual with great potential, and even greater thing that might be true about you is your real smile can brighten anyone's day. I may not be a psychiatrist or a Councillor, but I can be a friend, and saying these things to you as advice a friend would give.

I know the feeling, I feel like I'm only doing things to keep my mind off how unhappy Iam, iit's like it's always there and I'm just pushing it away with materialistic distractions
