Is it normal that i'm against interracial relationships?

I'm a White female and I'm against people of different racial backgrounds to get together and have kids with each other. I believe that Whites should stick with Whites, Blacks with Blacks, and so on. I personally believe that all racial lines should stay White, Black, Asian, or Hispanic. I believe that if a couple marries and has biracial kids, they're tainting their lines and shaming their racial heritage. You see, if people continue reproducing with people of a different race, it'll lead to the demise of a racial line. That is horrible and inexcusable. Is it normal I believe this? Yes, I know I'm racist but isn't everyone, deep down? If everyone's not racist they still have their prejudices. However, I'm not proud of my racism and I don't mean to be racist. I just don't want people to not care about their lines and throw their lines away just so they can have babies with a member of a different race. To me, it's slapping your ancestors in their faces after working so hard to keep their lines the way they are and to ensure that you're born as a member of their race. People should perserve their racial heritage, not mix it and ruin it.

"I know I'm racist but isn't everyone, deep down?"

No, and I'm sick of racists justifying their bigotry by assuming everyone else is also a bad person. Actually no, it's worse than that; you're implying that racists are better than everyone else because they're honest about their racism and everyone else is just a sneaky, devious, closet racist.

Better get uses to it missy. Soon all the babies would be brown :p
Seriously though, races don't just disappear by inbreeding, they'll be less common that's all. I don't think you should be a racist. Our ancestors? They killed young couples for falling in love with some1 of their own race too!

You severely limit yourself when you exclude entire groups of people from your pool of potential mates. Who's to say your perfect match is the same color as you? You're really missing out on lots of great people by being so narrow minded...

Just because some people mix here and there doesn't signal the end of civilization, or even individual races.

This is just as foolish as being mad at blue eyed people who marry outside their eye color. It's a recessive gene, you know; keep mixing with non blues and they'll all disappear! :p

I believe this is a normal thought but not a very justified one. What about any "racial lines" that have already been taken away by force and no one even celebrates or fully knows said heritage because of it? Are you also saying that people simply can't and won't fall in love with someone outside their race and if they do, they should terminate it instantly to preserve some hidden rule of race that no one lives by? Then there is the fact that interracial relationships do not affect your life personally at all, you'll most likely walk right by them and continue whatever you were doing.

Civilizations disappear and new ones are created. You don't see Europeans crying for the civilizations they conquered and erased from the earth. Get with the times and stop being racist.

It's not that your ancestors were trying to "preserve their racial heritage", but that there simply weren't any people of the opposite gender around who happened to be of a different race. This is the way it's been for the vast majority of human history. You pick from whatever potential mates you have available, and it's usually those in geographic proximity to you. And not until recently have there been people of different races who live close to each other, especially in the West. In societies where racial segregation was not the historical norm, such as Latin America, races have mixed freely for generations.

This is just complete nonsense what you're saying here. I think mixed race children are the strongest people on earth, they got the best of both while the weak spots of each race disappear.

Maybe it's a weird example, but you see it with dogs as well. A dog wich is 100% one race has lots of weak spots that come with that race. That's called inbreed, the mother and father are too much alike. Also they don't live very long. On the other side, dogs that are a mixture of races don't have those weak spots and they certainly live a few years longer.

I even once heard that nature has arranged for us to be attracted to people that have as less as possible similarities in our DNA. In other words, people that are different from who you are. I think there's a reason for that, the reason is to prevent inbreed and create a strong next generation. Skin color is one of the things that is in our DNA.

Hispanic is not a race, it it a cultural group. And you forgot brown (middle east, India).

But I get it. I'm not blatantly against it the way you are, but I really do worry about our white race..

Technically Hispanic isn't a race, it's an ethnicity.

I don't agree that it should not happen but I understand where you are coming from to a certain degree. I don't know why everyone is overlooking a very beautiful point you made about racial uniqueness. It's true, I would be sad too if they there weren't any black or hispanic or asian people anymore. I think racial diversity makes this world more beautiful but I'm not gonna stop two people in love. It'll be awhile till that ever happens, if it ever happens anyways.

Not everyone is deep down racist, yes many have prejudices but those are born out of ignorance. I was raised to be angry at asian people since they had overpopulated our area and had continued to feel alienated by them through high school. It wasn't till I went to a homechurch and had many nice encounters outside of it too, that I realized I was an ignorant fool. I think I'll suggest what helped me out of my jaded racism; get out, keep an open mind, and experience.
