Like, Morrissey is this amazing musician, poet, just amazing person. I relate to everything he's ever written, sang, said, everything. And even though he's like, 52, and old enough to be my grandfather...I am absolutely in love with him! It's so bizarre.
Ugh.
Is this normal?
Like, I wouldn't even consider this a fangirl thing, because most fangirls are SO caught up in looks...and honestly I didn't even know what Mozz looked like until recently...and I've loved him for like, two years.

    Many people dislike him - I think he is a very witty and intelligent song writer - also a significant cultural figure of the 80s/90s British music scene. His songs are usually beautiful. Go for it - also get the first smiths record if you don't have it - classic ! " over the moors - take me to the moors " ;)

    Well, you certainly won't get any disagreement from me. I live about a mile from where he grew up and we're very proud of him in this city. I think it's great that people still find him interesting. There's more intelligence and poetry in his lyrics than virtually anything else today. I think the fact that you've focussed on him is a big compliment to you, as well, and the type of person you obviously are.

    Read "The Wrong Boy" by Willy Russell - the main character feels much the same way about Morrissey as you do. When I read it, I'd barely even heard of Morrissey! Still enjoyed it though.

    Fly-trapping... Heh. I did it once, amidst the sand dunes in Argentina (guilty secret alert!)
