Is it normal that i'm a neanderthal?

I think I may be one of the last surviving members of the Neanderthal race. I have all of the distinctive traits of the Neanderthal.

- I have a very large head.

- I have very thick, heavy bones, and am naturally muscular. I weigh alot more than I look.

- I am impervious to cold weather.

- I am extremely introverted, and have been diagnosed with Aspergers sydrome. (researchers have concluded that the Neanderthals had genes linked to Aspergers/Autism.)

- I am almost strictly carnivorous, and an apex predator. I can kill anything, and nothing can kill me.

People think that the Neanderthals were dim-witted "cavemen", but we are not. We are as intelligent as humans, if not more so (I think we are humans, actually. Just another race). It is just that we were too reclusive to collaborate together to create sophisticated technology and such.

Is this normal?

almost everyone outside africa has neanderthal dna. up to 4% neanderthal dna. people who have bred with africans have a lower percentage as african dna dilutes the percentage down.

Up until this year I would have called you crazy. But my dorm mate has some type of hormone disorder which has exaggerated is features across his body.Beefy and dense build and like you strong, but he also has enlarged hands, feet, knees, and has a very scruffy deep voice. Actually his nick name some guys in the dorm has given him is neanderthal.
    Just weird disorder
5'9 to 6 ft I guess. 225lbs. I'm 7'4 287lbs and he makes me feel more normal are hands are the same size. I have big hands but proportionate for my height and his are the same size as mine; maybe thicker. and his feet are grotesquely large something like a 19 EEEEE just crazy.

In all seriousness, a couple of percent of European DNA has Neanderthal roots (some interbreeding happened). Maybe some of your Neanderthal genes are dominant.

    • And to think it was once thought that these people were hairy, hunched-over, naked brutes. They were as human as the rest of us.

I'm an Anthropology student that has studied the Neanderthals.

I'm afraid to say it but the last Neanderthals died out around 40,000 years ago. Possibly earlier, possibly later.

The Neanderthals belonged to the species homo neandertalensis. We are homo sapiens sapiens.

All non-Africans derive up to 4% of their genes from Neanderthals, because they interbred with homo sapiens sapiens before they died out. So you just maybe have the full 4% percent, unless you're African, at which you have 0%.

Neanderthals weren't reclusive either. Very social. They had to stick together to survive the cold years. You're right they they were smart..they invented many things. However, they weren't creative. Very little personal adornments, no art, and no elaborate burials. They are also most definitely gone.

No more Neanderthals live today, unfortunately, so its impossible for you to be one.

The vast majority of Neanderthal specimens were "contaminated" by genetic material from homo sapiens sapiens. You hear the word "contaminated" alot among evolutionists. I wonder how they would classify the different dog breeds that exist today if they studied them from fossils only.
