Is it normal that i'm 23 and love playing with my little kids?

I have 2 sons and I play with them like another little kid. I haven't really grown up, my imagination still takes me places and I will pretend sometimes when I'm alone. I know this probably isn't normal but I feel like I'm still 5 years old at heart as I love playing with my little guys. We play pirate sword battles and other stuff and I get really into it to the point of competition. My fiancée laughs at me and says I'm a funny guy. But I have fun being a little kid and I don't know why. Is this normal?

    That's completely normal, you are a good dad and more people should interact with their kids like you do.

    Not sure how typical this is - I know a lot of parents who can't 'lose themselves' in play when with their kids.

    But certainly nothing to be worried about. As long as you can balance being fun and playful with being a responsible parent, you should make a great dad.

    The opportunity to play and be silly with your kids has to be one of the great things about parenthood.

    I think its normal, but you have to be careful that you don't get carried away and do something dangerous that five year old might do also.

    I think it's better than putting them in front of a TV and ignoring them. You're helping them develop social skills which will help them socialize better once in school.

    Good for you sir. Far too many people plop their kids in front of the tv or tablet or video games to keep them occupied and away. You get a high five. No, two high fives. *slap slap

    I will be the same way when I have children, God willing. I would even buy all the new gaming systems for them as an excuse so I can play it too, lol.

    Probably not normal but I wish I could play with kids like that. Being an adult is boring! I wish this was normal everone should have a chance to play like a kid again.
