Is it normal that i'm 22 and have never had a girlfriend?

I've never had a girlfriend and I'm 22. I've been on dates in college and had crushes in high school but never actually had a girl over my house for 1 on 1 time. It sucks. I joined two dating sites but I've had no luck with them. The girls are so rude on there. I live in the suburbs and it's very quiet. I hardly see any girls hanging out around the area where I live. I live in Greenburgh and the nearest burrough is White Plains. I see lots of girls in that area because there is a galleria mall and lots of places to eat. Sometimes I see a woman and I'm unsure what to say because what I've said in the past hasn't worked sometimes. Also girls have turned me down in the past which is why I'm reluctant to say something sometimes. However, other times I am very confident in my approach and I have gotten numbers in the past. However, it hasn't gone anywhere after I get the number and talk to them on the phone. I don't have many friends and being that I don't have a girlfriend or lady friend to chill with is doing my head in!! I'm so lonely!!! Is it normal to be 22 and to have never had a girlfriend? Please someone give me advice because I am becoming very bitter. I don't even have any friends to call up on a Friday night.

    You're normal dude! I am 29, not a virgin but never had a real relationship. If you look through this site and the internet you get lots of young chaps like yourself asking if this is okay. I lost my v-card at 20 at college but that was it for years. Oh well. Either you will or it won't eva happen. Just be secure in yourself. I believe the media and society have this relationship thing all hyped up and got certain details twisted. Some people (and I know a lot) are more miserable in a relationship.
    Anyways you're normal, keep your nose clean and do you.

    It is perfectly normal. There is an actor out there, who didn't get his first kiss until he was 29. And he didn't start dating until after then. So, much younger than him, I think you're fine. But if you're getting lonely, you need to broaden your horizons and find someone nice for yourself.

    Just giving you the hint, Try to hit on a girl which is actually below your level!! Try to Make friends with her. The thing is if she finds you attractive she will be easy to make friends with!!

        About that india thing...i was talking about "MY SCHOOL TIME" when girls were too shy to talk to a guy(note that i am talking about middle class girls, the rich girls around me always acted like shit and i never gave a fuck about them). And i am talking about 6-7 years ago. After coming in college i know how girls are!!!
        I agree with you there. Girls are kind of attention seekers. I would suggest him to be more confident and act mature and focus on your self!!
