Is it normal that i'm 17 and have never had a bf?

I won't bore you with specifics, so here's the general idea. I've never had a boyfriend, I've been kissed once, by a friend of mine. It was unexpected, and just sort of happened, but he didn't want a relationship or anything, so that blew over, it was March last year.

I'm not stunning, but I'm not ugly either. I'm a decent weight, I think. I'm 5'1" at about 113lbs, I like music, I love talking to people and love making new friends. I do my best to seem welcoming, but nobody ever seems interested. Any guy I've ever been interested in has kept me in the friend zone.

It hurts too because my best friend had her first bf when she was 15, and is nearly 19 now with her third guy, who actually cares about her. I'm friends with him, and I want them to stay together because I know they're good for each other, but it hurts to know they're happy, as weird as that sounds.

I'm not desperate as such, but I just feel lonely in my heart. Am I weird for it?

    I didn't have a bf until I was 20. And I had never kissed anyone or done anything else until I met him. So just wait the right guy will come along and you might have to make the first move... I did. lol So just wait and you will find him soon I promise. I found that before I was so depressed and felt the same way you did and then I just said fuck it and I just focused on all of the other things in my life and then I met my bf. And we have been together ever since over 2 1/2 years. So just wait and don't focus on it and I'm sure it will come sooner than you think. Good luck :)

    Maybe you need to approach guys first. Lots of guys are scared to be rejected which is why you probably never had a boyfriend. I'm sure Mr. Shy will be happy that you'll go to him.
