Is it normal that i'm 5'6" and 100 pounds?

My entire life I've been extremely short, up until I was 14, when I shot up to 5'5 and only gained 10 pounds. I have an extremely fast metabolism, I can eat and eat all I want and never gain an ounce. Trust me, I've tried.

It's very hard to gain muscle weight, but that's normal.

I'm 5'5" and 120 pounds. I cannot for the life of me gain weight by being lazy and eating a ton of junk. So to gain weight i've been putting on muscle. eating meats and wheats and working out daily has helped me gain a few pounds. Anyone who is in the market to gain weight should make sure they gain the good kind of weight.

5'6 is just a little below average height, and 100 pounds is the average weight of a 10/11 year old I think

It depends on your age now, as you may not be fully developed. However, if you're not having good healthy meals and are living off fast food crap then you may have malnutrition. Stunned to watch Jamie Oliver's programme about food in the US and the kids don't know the name of vegetables as simple as potatoes or broccoli etc.

Empty calories in crap will not help you put on weight if they're mostly sugar as you are active enough to burn them off. You need protein to build up muscle, meat, egg, fish, etc.

Good luck - there's nothing more important than your health.
