Is it normal that i love these types of music but dont look like i do?

I like every type of music but I dont dress to the occasion you know like if you like rock you dress as a punk rocker or if you like hip hop you dress in big hoops and colorful stuff. Pple look at me weird like a poser or wannabe if i dont have the "look" or "attitude" to the songs i tell them i like. Sorry, Im me and music is life but doesnt mean you have be the part just let it be and let your ears contribute to your fantasies and imaginations and most desired dreams :) Yah music tells what kind of person you are but from within not from clothes and an act, that just spoils everything.

    I look really disheveled and unkempt, no make-up, stains on my clothes... and yet one of my favorite genres of music is neo-classical. I also have blonde hair and like bright clothes, yet I also listen to Evanescence and hip-hop music. So I say you're normal.

        Ah, a music snob! Hopefully my use of intelligent words cancels out my enjoyment of "unintelligent" music. But then again, why the hell am I trying to impress you? You're probably a hipster anyway.

          Nah, I just like to joke around a little bit. Everybody has their own tastes in music and I am (mostly) cool with that :) I never said your music was unintelligent either. I just do not like that particular band and that particular genre very much. I am a rocker at heart though.

    I listen to all kinds of music, so there isn't any way I can dress to express all the various types.

    Hiya,

    I don't dress in a specific way; far too impractical and too much effort!

    Dressing to show you like certain music seems a bit strange. It's as if you're not sure if you actually like said music and you're trying to prove that you do.

    You can't dress the part for any music I like, since you can like it if you're 8 or if you're 80. If you really enjoy something you won't need to prove it.

    With music pick stuff that YOU like. And if you really like it you'll feel it in your heart. I like Heavy Metal, Punk, and Old Skool Rap, but I never felt the need to dress like any of those genres.

    If you dress the part but it's not in your heart, then what's the point?

    I go from Daft Punk to Cage the Elephant. Music isn't something you should try to restrict yourself on. It seems stupid to try to stick to one genre when there's so many gems out there just waiting to be found in all the others.
