Ever since i first saw an old n64 game (like zelda or mario), i just really loved the style of it. It's almost a fettish. I don't know what it is, but i really love it.
I find retro gaming interesting and especially a few years back I got really into them just not in a fetish way tho. To fast foward I bought a genesis and it was so cool to see how far graphic have changed and to play a piece of history that was once big. I then learned a ton just looking into it.
I got a ps1 and a few games I used to play as a little kid and it blew my mind to just be able to replay something I used to remember loving it just brought back so many good memories.
From that things started collecting a little here and there and now I have 15 consoles and 5 handhelds which doesn’t seem like a lot but it sitting on my book shelf full of games definitely feels like a collection at this point well that and the tons of cords to go with it. Unfortunately I haven’t been really into expanding my small collection much these past years. I still have some interest in old gaming but never the time to drag out a old fat tv just so I can use my toploader or Atari for the f cable.
I love tetris but tengen tetris on my toploader is the best tetris I’ve ever played. I got to 316 lines one day and haven’t been able to pass that again but I could play that forever. If only it wasn’t as rare I’d play it more often.
Hell yeah, wario and waluigi look way hot in low poly n64 graphics compared to the weird crap their animated in these days. Although, i gotta say the 3ds remake of the Zelda games made all their hot guys look way better, even tho i never played any of these.
Man it hard for me to pick up oblivion with its graphics, but i suppose my graphic cutoff for realism is like 2010. Got no problem with borderland games, cell shading really ages well.
Yea I love the ps1. I actually collect consoles and games. especially N64 and ps1 era.
I even have an old pc from windows 98 time. I use it for retro gaming. Still has 98 os on there and lots of software from this time
I also love old school games, but as a fettish? Wow I didn't see that coming...
