Is it normal that i love sex

So for the past year now i have been with the same guy, even though we are not like dating as a couple we still do the couple stuff but he just does not want to be in a relationship. I am okay with this because i cant complain about the sex and he gives me the time of the day. But, i kinda want to be in a relationship but just cant end anything with him because of the sex. is this normal?
