Is it normal that i love my bf, and still my best friend?!

I have this best friend, he just so happens to be a guy. I have been in love with him for the past 2years; but never had the guts to do anything. Although I have had many boyfriends, I don't like going after guys; I like them coming after me. My now current boyfriend is amazing, he really is.

I honestly do love him, I'd die for him and so far I have put everything on the line for him. We aren't permitted to see each other because our parents say so, yet we talk everyday. We sneak off to go so each other, and when I see him it's the best feeling in the world.

Yet, I am still in love with my best friend. Is this normal? Also I have done anything and everything my best friend has needed and I know for a fact that I would as well die for him any day of the week. This is all so confusing and I have no idea where to go from now.... But is this kind of thing normal?

    the above comment could be true. but i kind of understand what you are talking about. if you are seriously in love with your best friend answer this question: if your best friend admitted his feelings to you which were the same as you felt for him, would you leave your boyfriend? if so, you must end things with your current boyfriend because that is not fair to him. i think you should tell your best friend how you feel just to see, you never know.. and if you never try you could be missing out of something amazing.

    I think its possible to love more than one person, but i feel like it is different loves. I don't see how someone can love two people equally the same, or for the same reasons, considering that we're all very different people. But its possible to love one person for certain reasons and love another person for their certain reasons as well.

    It's possible you see the same qualities in both your boyfriend and your best friend. It's normal but be careful, or you could end up losing both.

    I've loved my best friend for almost 6 years now. I've even asked him out 3 times and have been rejected each time. Though I met a great guy 2 months ago and it's just amazing how awesome he is. I really think I love him. :) It's perfectly normal, and just like Jasmine said, you might even love them in different ways.
