Is it normal that i love my best friend from middle school?

So I supposedly "fell in love" with my best friend in 7th grade. He was my everything, and he seemed he really liked me back. Everytime I asked him if he had feelings for me he'd say, "I think you're wonderful, I think you're beautiful." and that's all he would ever say. Once we moved onto highschool, I switched schools (that's only like 5 min. away). I might see every every half a year or so if I'm lucky. But I still feel as though I can't live without him. I can't get him off my mind. It's been 3 years now since I've changed schools, yet I'm still head over heels and crazy about him. Is this obsession or do you think it's actually true love?

    Well its very sweet that you are carrying a torch from the hop scotch days into junior high. I mean that. Why don't you talk and see how he feels? Or perhaps you want to cherish your school crush unspoiled. That'd be understandable too. But don't let that keep you from enjoying new and present day relationships.
