Is it normal that i love coffee so much?

Every morning I wake up, Brew a pot of coffee, Drink two or three cups Than eat breakfast and get my day started. During the evening, I brew a pot and sit there enjoying the taste. At night I brew a pot. I have been drinking it since I was 4, My mom always took us to motels for a couple of days than take us back to my grand parents house (She was a crack head, so we didn't live with her) But at the motels she'd let me drink it as much as i wanted, to the point where I took a coffee machine home with me. My grand parents did not approve,(They are coffee drinkers also) but It was too late for that, I was addicted. Now if I go a day without coffee I get terrible migranes and I feel lazy and useless. People always make fun of me because (I live in AZ) and It gets scorching hot outside and we go to a circle k or QT and they'd get an Icee or soda and I'd get a cappuccino... So is this love for coffee Normal? I can't be the only one, right?

I have a friend who is a marine and is very active always out in the heat bla bla bla. Either way he drinks coffee 24/7. Like it's water. It's crazy, he is the same if he doesn't get his coffee he gets bad migraine and cranky. Which is expected to happen when you take in so much caffeine. He's about to go to Iraq, guess what's going in his care package.

Cappuccinos are love. They are so good!!! It's a shame but, I had to give up coffee. It's not good for the enamel on your teeth and the caffeine hurts my heart and messes with my neurological health. :(

I wish I came up with Starbucks. Goldmine. Goooolldddmine!!!! Funny enough, the inspiration for Starbucks? Cafes in Italy. Guess what? There's not a single Starbucks in Italy. There is one at the Great Wall of China.

I love coffee too. In fact I drink Starbucks almost everyday. It makes me focused and attentive at what I do best. There is nothing wrong with having a coffee addiction. Although at one point I contemplated hoarding coffee beans in case there is a mass worldwide shortage! I was that crazy. Lol

I love coffee. I got a Keurig- it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I can have a different flavor every cup. I have about 3 cups in the morning and several more throughout the day.

I miss coffee. I don't miss the comedown, though. I was virtually addicted. God, those days when you stay away from it are just horrible. It feels like having an illness. Especially the dull thump in the head and the inability to do pretty much anything.

On the plus side, it gave me extra IQ points. I'm much dimmer now than when I was caffeinated.

    • Yup. I hate that too. I have actually tried to cut down before, unfortunatly the pain was to much to bear, and I was sippin' on that caffinated glory before sunset lmao I know what your saying about the IQ thing :D Like your brain is working extra fast, and before ya know it your using big words to sounds smart: utilizing gargantuan idioms to fabricate intelligence. :P lmao

lol, it does make things come to mind quicker. It really did increase my IQ too. I got 18-20 temporary IQ points out of being massively caffeinated. And I lose about 20 when I drink!

I know this addiction well. I love coffee. I have a cup with me right now. So tasty. But it's brutal on your stomach. I know the withdraw sucks but you should quit, if only for a month. Prove to yourself that you have the control. Then enjoy the tasty goodness on your terms, not the caffeine's.

well caffeine is a drug and like any drug, its addictive. but i only have one coffee in the morning and thats it. my husband has a few through the day and i used to work with a "girl" who would have one every half an hour. if you are concerned then why not cut down and then eventually you can control how much you want to drink. but if you love coffee that much then chances are, your habit isnt going to change.
