Is it normal that i lost interest in weed after i got caught

So the writer does not give an age,,, So if he is 12 yrs old you all still feel the same ? If he is still living in his parents house then the parents have the right to search his room if they suspect something. If he is 21 and still lives in parents house, they reserve that right as well. To call the police may have been their last resort, I have a nephew going thru that same type of situation and his mother DOES search his room if she feels its needed. (hes 18). The above comments that tell people to try and hide it better I dont agree with. If you had a bf/gf or husband/wife that was doing herion, crack, hash, or just shootin up or smoking whatever they could get their hands on, Would you want them to learn to hide it even if they are destroying themself ? If you REALLY LOVE someone you want the best for them in life and you cant stand by and know in your heart they are killing themself. Would you want them to hide it or be strong and face you with the truth. By The Way ---- DRUGS WILL KILL YOUR SEX DRIVE AND ABILITY TO PERFORM.

Ok well I haven't done weed. But when ever someone finds out I like them or anything like that I suddenly lose intrest and move on.

I got caught in a really fucked up way but it did indeed cause me to lose interest for over a month before I started again. I didn't get caught in the act but apparently my best friend's mom had been tracking his facebook chat and saw that we were planning on smoking the next day and told my mom and I basically had to confess that I was a pothead to her. But I hadn't smoked in a couple weeks prior and didn't have anything except a bowl hidden in my room so I didn't really care, but it did cause me to not want to smoke for a while.

You're parents are assholes. And yes, I suppose it would be normal to not want to do it any more after that ordeal.

Your parents reaction isn't normal... But therpeople couple people I've met who's lives might be better had their parents reacted like that. Mainly because they have health or psychological problems that have become much worse because of drug use.

Occasional weed smoking done in the appropriate time and place can be great. For me its on par with having a couple drinks. But based on many of the stories I've heard most illicit things are fun because they're illicit. But, when the consequences become too great, illicit isn't fun anymore. By that point you're hooked on the real or percieved benifits of the act, or you give it up.

Considering your situation and the risks you're taking because of the way your family has decided to handle it, it's great that you've lost interest. Whether your parents are right or wrong, following their rules is the easiest thing to do in most cases.

If at some later point in your life it seems like fun, and you're not facing the familial consequences, go ahead and try it. Just be smart about it.

I can compare your feeling to the feeling I got when i was caught shoplifting. They caught me twice once very young and after than I coudnt steal again for a long time, and then I slowly regained confidence and started shoplifting again like crazy, and I got caught again, this time being a bit older (17) and they called the cops and shit, made me pay for it and let me go, but fuck was I scared, ever since I havent picked up a single pack of gum.

But with weed? Naaa, its not a crime bro, its like having some drinks to chill, especially if you have nothing to do all day, weed is the best.

Still, I reccomend you to take up some sport, or a part time job or start going out meeting people, girls, whatever. Its better than staying home smoking weed im with gidget on that one, although I stay home smoking weed :P

And @:kushking I had the same thing with my dad! when i was 16, now we smoke together, share buds and grew closer cause of it.

man its normal to feel that way cause your family just totaly fucked you over id be scared for them to do it again if they would catch you doing it, but when i got caught i was 15 and my dad told me he smokes everyday, he told me the risks and all that shit but he said it was fine and ever since i smoke with my dad and go together its brought us closer we go to concerts and stuff all the time too

No this didnt happen to me when i first got caught but man would it have saved me alot of heart ache if it did u r lucky i advise u not to get back into weed it isnt that bad if u can control but for those who cannot it can be as bad as any drug but if u do feel the need to do it i advise u to eat it it is pretty healthy that way neways i understand being bored and spending ur time fucked up because its better than nothing at the time but its not better for ur future and that is what u need to worry about pick up a sport get a part time job anything drugs wont get u anywhere tho hope i helped by the way im 19 so im not just some old person who already had there fun lol and is bitchin at u about it i know how irritating that is but take it from me be an example to other people
