Is it normal that i lose feeling in my vagina?

Sometimes I can't feel anything inside or outside. It goes completely numb. This is a new thing. I would say its been about a year and it only happens maybe once a month. I'm concerned but I can't find anything online anywhere.

    How long does it last?

    I ask because ... I've had it happen from sitting on a chair in an odd position. So the numbness wasn't any weird medical issue - it was nothing different than my foot falling asleep, except that it was my labia and not my foot.

      It will happen for hours sometimes even a couple of days.

        hmm if it's that long then it's likely more than my "sleeping foot" (or rather 'sleeping lips') theory.

        perhaps you should consult with your obgyn?

    I'd go see your doctor, if it only occurs once a month maybe it's linked to your period?
