Sometimes when I look in the mirror I have this moment of like holy crap is that actually me? Do I actually loom like this? I want to know what other people see me as because I just have those moments of like wow this is actually me... Like sometimes I feel like it's not
I looked at myself lately in a department mirrior and I almost did not reconize the person looking back at me. does everyone see the same thing I do?
Sometimes I look in the mirror and it doesnt look like me. Like, as if it is an Identical Twin, or a doppelganger. The eyes are in a different place and... just ugh.
It really creeps me out and I have to look away for like 10 seconds.
ever since i watched the movie mirrors i cant look in a mirror without freaking out a little bit.
a philosopher would say you're having an acute existential crisis in which you don't understand the difference between the reality of the self in opposition to the "other". A new age person would say "you're missing your psychic link". A religious person would say "god is testing you".
I say, stop looking in the mirror and put your genitals on some other genitals. You'll find out how others see you real fast.
Look in the mirror more often and you might not get this feeling!
I get it too. I look at myself and wonder if people see me like I see myself. Sometimes I even wonder if they're more accepting of me than I am to myself physically.
