Is it normal that i like women with the 1950's look?

I often find myself looking at old movies (mostly from the 50s but lesser extent 40s and 60s) just to look at the women. I just like the look. and I also like the average weight body most of them had. Is this normal?

I think some glamorous women from those periods looked stunning, but I also think there's something unapproachable and constricting about them; the elaborately curled, frozen-with-hairspray hair, the heavy make-up, some of the clothing, the general conservative attitudes I associate with that period, the homogeny of their 'look' (especially in movies), their generally dull personalities and doe-eyed innocence (in movies).

There are some women in movies from that time I love, like Audrey Hepburn and Vivien Leigh, but I don't think I'd appreciate it if all women revived the fashion of that time - it just doesn't reflect where we are now, and whilst I can enjoy it as a distraction from the norm, something a little different and romantic, it isn't something I'd appreciate seeing all the time.

Similarly I sometimes look at these films and think how goddamn smart and dapper those guys look in their suits, but I'd hate to wear a suit every day and boring, conservative clothing, regardless of how sharp it made me appear.

Of course it is. If something looks good then I didn't really think it mattered when it was looking good. I quite like the 20s look. And the 40s.

Oh man, women from the '20s and some subsequent decades were gorgeous. The style for women now now, mostly, is just after sex appeal. They're the kind of women I'd have drinks with and bang, but the women in that time were all around lovely and gave off a vibe that makes me think "I'd take her out on a date" rather than "I'd hit that".

I like women from the 1920's and the 1960's. Women looked so beautiful and classy back then as opposed to now,

Yeah, women looked classier in those days.

  • Those old actresses had amazing bodies because they didn't eat food, some of the waist lines on them were fucked. Now they encourage bitches to be fatties, it all makes Tommy sick and slightly aroused.

Eva Longoria vs. that fat old dowager that was always in the 3 Stooges movies getting hit with a pie.

  • I think people had better style in the past. Both male and female. More class.

"More natural"? How do you figure?

Yup, they were slender from the lean food everyone ate then. But, they didn't have the trim shoulder lines from lifting weights like models do now.

Yeah nothing natural about that look! Not the Hollywood style OP is referring to, anyway.

I personally think women in 50s look better. So that's completely normal.
