Is it normal that i like to work and do things myself?

Well most people around my age hate working and always want help when they are doing something so that theydont have to work as hard...I also do not always like getting a job to do but when I get started I enjoy it and don't want any help. ie. today I was told to carry like 14 bags of books from the house to the car and then to another house. When someone offered to help I practically spazzed out on them...I don't understand why I'm like that and it doesn't seem normal to me...is it?

    I think it's normal. I've gotten this way before too. Some day's I might be given something to do at my work that I don't really wanna do, but once I get started, I can't stop doing it. I get so comfortable with it.

    And one day another coworker came in, and was pretty much doing what I should've been doing(my boss assigned me to do it) without even asking me if she could take over. I got kind of angry, but I didn't say anything. But I got this feeling like, "What? Am I incapable or something?".

    I felt like a 3 year old who got her toy snatched away from her.

    I always take on jobs that are bigger than me. It may take days but I enjoy the time on my own.

    I don't like to get off my butt and do anything either but once I do I'm in the zone. I also don't like people coming in and trying to help me. I mean I totally appreciate it and all but just let me do it. It just makes me feel incompetent. Like there's been several times I would start something and someone would cone along and try to help me with it. Even if I was doing it wrong I don't want the help unless I asked for it. And I do not need step by step instructions, just tell me and I will be good to go. Don't come and try to take it over. That just makes me not want to do it anymore.
