Is it normal that i like to sleep on the floor?

I prefer to sleep on the floor than on my bed or any bed for that matter. I discovered this after I fell asleep while trying to exercise and every since then I have been sleeping on the floor. I find it quite comfortable.

it's super comfortable once you get used to it. I was really impressed by a show about buddhist monks and they undertake a precept "to refrain from lying on a high or luxurious sleeping place". Since then I've spent a good 6 years sleeping on a thin mat.

I do have a bed now, but that's because it was a gift and I can't throw it away :/

"I discovered this after I fell asleep while trying to exercise" So you sat down intending to exercise and ended up falling asleep? You lazy Mother Focker!

    • Lol you see what happened was I was trying to do some sit ups so I laid down then I saw the ceiling and I noticed how I hardly ever look at the ceiling and then my mind began to wonder and then I got bored I guess, and I fell asleep.

lol. XD I've done it before too. Once I laid down on the floor and thought "Oh this is comfortable" and took a nap.

I do like my bed but the floor never really bothered me. If I'm tired enough I can fall asleep almost anywhere. Although I once fell asleep by the side of the road, that was a little awkward.

One of my best friends only ever goes into his bedroom to get a book or to fetch the cats. He's slept on the living room floor all his adult life. I went through a phase of it too, a couple of years ago.

I did a lot of camping growing up, though, and am used to the idea of not having a normal bed. I'm not sure where this tradition came from that we have to sleep a few feet in the air.

It's to stop ants from crawling into your butt.

Ha! you just reminded me of Roald Dahls story of the ant eater. I still love his stories.

My mom does this. I've never been able to understand it. I slept on the floor once to see what the whole big deal was and my back did not approve. I thought it was abnormal. I kind of still think it is. But whatever tickles your fancy.
