Is it normal that i like to look at my boyfriend while kissing him?

I often close my eyes while kissing, but I just as often like to open them. I frequently hear the saying that if you keep your eyes open while kissing, you're not trustworthy or fully into the kiss, but I like to open my eyes and see him and feel that this saying does not apply to me. It makes the experience more meaningful for me, and he doesn't seem to mind. However, I told a friend that I like to open my eyes while kissing, and she seemed put out by this, insisting that I wasn't enjoying the kiss like I should, when I actually find myself enjoying it more with my eyes open. Normal or not?

When your eyes roll back and let out a big climax scream of delight then you'll know you're into it.

In my view looking at your partner with your eyes open is just trying to reassure yourself that this is really happening.

Let go girl, you must relax.

I've never heard that saying before.

Cosmo Magazine, among others, has done injustice to leaving the eyes open by saying it means you're insincere. The Bruno Mars song "Grenade" mentions this too-- "Should have known you was trouble from the first kiss, has your eyes wide open, why were they open?"

If Bruno Mars's statement really does apply, then he must be just as much trouble as his girlfriend - he must've had his eyes open to know that his girlfriend had HER eyes open!
Ha, ha - he said it fist!!

I think that you can enjoy the kiss any way you like - it doesn't make you any less of a good person to keep your eyes open!

I love seeing my husband's beautiful face this way, too, sometimes!

        Good luck with prince charming!

        xx
