Is it normal that i like someone on the internet?

Why don't you guys meet and see what happens? It's the stuff you don't do you mostly end up regretting and you're video chatting so it's not as if you're going to be catfished and it sounds like there could be something there, basically what I'm saying is there are three major outcomes to this

*You don't say anything and it carries on driving you crazy

* you do say or arrange something and it works out

* it doesn't work out

The last one is always a chance but again it definitely sounds like there are mutual feelings there, and even if hypothetically that outcome does happen, you have closure, there are three major outcomes there and only one of them leaves you left in the dark

Well, you see each other on webcam, so you know he's real. And I take it you know a lot about each other. Y'all are definitely friends and he seems to like you back, but don't be too hasty. Be sure both of you want a relationship before making it official. And if he lives far away, you'll have to meet up eventually. Distance doesn't matter, but a LDR can't stay long distance forever.

I don't understand....you have never met this guy in person? How can you have a "relationship" if you only text, skype and talk on the phone?

Maybe I am old fashion, but, I wouldn't call this a "relationship"...it is an acquaintance.

You need to spend TIME together, get to know each other before you decide if you like this guy.

FRIENDS are the people you hang out with, have laughs with, go do THINGS with. Not electronically.

The fact he treats you 2 different ways, one when it is just the 2 of you and another when you are with so-called "friends" (again, those aren't friends, they are acquaintances), is troubling. You didn't say in what way it is "different", but, I suspect it isn't good.

Assuming the way he treats you in front of others is not as nice as when it is just the 2 of you tells me he is hiding something from you, like, that he is in another relationship and you are just some "cyber-buddy" that he has waiting in the wings for when the time is right.

That is OK if your OK with it, but, douches like that will ALWAYS have one or two (or dozens) on the "side" JUST IN CASE. Or, for when they just need to "tap" something new.

Is that the kind of relationship you are looking for? Think more of yourself. Find a real friend.

It's normal. With the technology nowadays, you can connect with so many people. I myself had a guy I liked online that I talked to for around 6 months before we met up and became official. It is definitely a possibility.
