I don't get on well with my mother, whenever she talks to me, it is because i have done something wrong or a chore needs doing, but my teacher always praises me and i can talk to her about anything...
Please no insulting or unpleasant comments..
I bet if you had to spend your whole life with said teacher you'd change your tune.
I find it normal. A lot of teens don't get along well with their parents and fill their places, mentally, with a more ideal adult.
Your teacher may not be the greatest Mother herself, bear that in mind, but I find your feelings normal. Back when I lived with my Mom, I had a few friends her age I liked a hell of a lot more.
For me it's normal.For me it's easy to talk with my teacher than my mom. It seems that my teacher understands me better than my mom.I feel weird about it. But now I feel that I'm not alone. Thanks everybody this really helps me a lot..
Humans are creatures of habit. Your Mom has gotten into the habit of nagging you all the time. This is very common. Does she do it to your Dad and siblings as well?
You're not going to change your Mom. This behavior is deeply ingrained in her. Leave home as soon as you can and then your relationship with her will improve. Maybe she's having a hard time for personal reasons which she can't discuss with you because it wouldn't be appropriate. It could be anything ranging from menopause to infidelity. (I'm not making any insinuations here. I'm just trying to point that parents have their own s#$t to deal with as well as trying to support and raise children).
That said, I found it hard when my son was a teen because he was constantly disrespectful to me. If I called him out for it, his behavior would just get worse. If I didn't call him out, it would mean just putting up with it which meant I was a doormat and his personal dumping ground. It was a TERRIBLE lose-lose situation for me. He's great now that he's 19 and left home for college. I need you to understand how difficult it can be for a Mom, especially when Mom and Dad don't get along or are divorced and the teen plays one off against the other, which most kids in that situation do even if they don't realize it.
Your teacher is around lots of young people and is trained to manage, teach and nurture them. She is a professional who can say goodbye at 3:30pm until 9am the next day and she only has to do it 200 days a year, if that. It's much easier to be sympathetic and encouraging when you can shut it off at 3:30.
My Mom was not a good Mom. She had some good moments but they were infrequent. I had the worst school lunches in the entire school. Nobody wanted to swap lunch with me. When I was bullied at school, my Mom would tell me that I must have deserved it, so I soon learned to keep my mouth shut. She beat on me with many different implements. So things could be worse for you. Some kids had it worse than me.
I really am sorry that things aren't better between you and your Mom. Please don't tell your Mom that you love your teacher more because that would break her heart. She might act like a b#$tch but she definitely loves you a great deal. All parents love their children.
I wouldn't suggest talking to her about this because it will probably quickly degrade into a shouting match but you could write her a letter. Why don't you run it by IIN first, on this very post?

It's normal that you like your teacher more that your mother because of the way she treats you.
You should try talking to your mother.
Yes, it's normal. Sometimes we can relate to teachers more than our parents. That doesn't mean you need to lose respect for your mother though.
