Is it normal that i like most electro but can't stand dubstep?

Is it normal that while I like most electro music like The Prodigy and some Deadmau5 songs, whenever I've tried listening to dubstep, I just don't really like it? They are so similar, but I just can't seem to bring myself to like dubstep despite that I love most electro, is this normal?

    I don't like dubstep either but like Techno and other electro!

    I used to really like dubstep, now not so much. It got old quick. I like techno, trance, electro...stuff i can dance to and its smoother sounding.

    Ehh dubstep is overrated... go check out Skrillex's non-dubstep stuff. If you're a true electro fan, you'll love it :)

    Well,dubstep relies on the heavy and dancing beats such as the bass,whereas electro and trance are more soft generated and attract more people,example: liquid drum n' bass.

    So yeah,it varies in person LOL

    Dubstep is usually pretty shitty but there is a few dubstep songs that are FANTASTIC that you can really get into.
