Is it normal that i like him but have never seen him?

I added a guy on bbm and we were speaking for the whole weekend and I really like him and I can't get him out of my mind.... If he doesn't reply to my messages I start to freak out and become very paranoid
I've told him how I feel and he says he feels the same but now he is acting weird
