Is it normal that i like and hate a person at the same time?

I'm an 18year old. Recently a girl joined our school, in my class. Now this girl is really smart, fun to talk to, helpful (most of the time) and extremely good-looking. We've been friends ever since she joined and i really like her humor and to tell the truth, i even feel attracted to her. But again, sometimes she's really haughty and arrogant, especially when i ask her for any favor, however small. At these times i really hate her guts and want to call her names. Is it normal to like and hate a person at the same time?

    It is normal, and I happen to have been through the exact same thing. I was pretty much in love with a girl, but hated a few different things about her. I decided to give the relationship a go, and she broke my heart lolz.

    You just have to decide which is stronger, the love side or the hate side I guess.

    I don't agree that it is a normal part of friendship, but it IS normal that it happens. Same thing happened to me. I loved someone for years. I moved away, never saw or talked to him and a deep seated rage grew toward him. I wanted some sort of revenge, while at the same time realizing that if he offered himself I'd drop everything for him. He certainly messed with my brain chemistry.
