Is it normal that i lie to my husband about hours i spend at work?

I am overworked and many times I have to stay for extra hours without pay to finish my urgent tasks. My husband really hates it, since I have small children and he feels I can't say "no" to my boss. So I lie to my husband every time it happens to avoid scandals. I lie that I got stuck in terrible traffic, that my intersection was blocked, etc. Yesterday I lied that I forgot my cell and had to go back to my office to get it. I never lie to my husband about anything else. Do you think it's normal?

    Well you care about your job, and you have a family and its normal for your work to overcome your personal life... You shouldn't have to lie to him and he should be able to understand, and understand by knowing that you work extra hours because obviously you are supporting your family as well! If he's your husband he would understand and support, maybe even make it easier for you when you come home like a massage and sorts.

    Though thats just me...
