Is it normal that i laugh instead of cry?

I get sad really easily, and I hate that I do. I can’t compress it very well, so I’ve taught myself to laugh instead of cry. This works unless it’s something really depressing, but as a result I laugh really easily now, even at inappropriate times. Looking this up I found that I could have PBA, but could it be that it’s just normal?

  • I smile when I'm sad. Looked it up and they said it was a defense mechanism so people don't see my emotions. So, probably not.

Some people giggle when they feel bad. This has been a serious problem for me at funerals. Just go with the flow, bro.
