Is it normal that i laugh at traumatic situations?

I feel really bad but sometimes I just can’t help myself. I remember once one of my friends was describing how a guy he knew cracked his head and was found coughing in a pool of blood and lived and I couldn’t stop smirking. When I see something on the news and see the victims faces a I can’t stop laughing. This isn’t every single time that I see something. For every 10 traumatic situations I may laugh at 1 . But I know it’s wrong. How do I stop?

Yep I've done this lots! Its always the eyes or the facial expressions that make me laugh hysterically. When someones talking about the sad situations I always try to keep eye contact with them but then I notice their pupils getting bigger for some reason it looks funny.
I would look at the others and they would notice it too then we would try to hold our laughs in but I would always be the one laughing first and they would hate me for it.

If it's because you're nervous, it's not your fault. That's how some people deal with things.

I only laugh when bad things happen to bad people. ☺
