Is it normal that i lashed out in this situation ?

Basically my mum passed away about 2 months ago and pretty much everyone at work thought I was a psychopath or something because I didn't cry every time someone brought it up. A lot of people were really bitchy to me and would treat me like I was stupid.

About 3 weeks ago I kinda lashed out at one of the managers. He told me I always seemed to be frowning at him so I cold him it was because I didn't like him very much and then I ignored him for a couple of shifts.

About 2 weeks ago I told a few people I do care about stuff, I just don't really cry about it. Everyone was nice to me for a shift after that. But I think that manager must have said something about what I said to him because everyone's being kinda bitchy again.

Well I don't really see someone telling you "you always seem to frown at me" as a reason to lash out, but with your situation I can see why you did.

Idk. You think telling him your situation would help? Try it (that is, if you're OK with telling people about it)

        • So just tell him I was stressed out because my mum passed away and people were being bitchy about it?
