Is it normal that i kinda gave up on the notion of finding true love?
Never had a serious relationship. Prayed for it. It never came. I guess it was just meant to be. I am fine with it at 42.

TwistedLittleGirl is right. Negativity only brings you down. Positive thinking brings positive results. I suggest you read some Louise Hay books about positivity. True love exists I promise and it's amazing! I've felt it :)
That's so sad!
Don't give up on your dreams!
at least not till you wake up!
Wake up!Neo! Kansas has gone bye bye!
It's normal. Love doesn't really exist, it's just a lie made up by sappy people to excuse their neediness and inability to be alone. If it did exist there wouldn't be so much divorce and unhappiness.
You're mature, and you understand a lot of the way life works unlike me in my 21 years. I think you should remain realistic, but not closed. If you feel fulfilled, then you are on the right path. The most important part of it is to go with the flow and whatever happens, happens. Thats how most people I know have fallen in REAL love. Not the kind that you find on eHarmony, or the "What the hell lets get married" kind of love, but love that really hits you where it counts. And I have faith in you. You're a smart person. :)
That's what I am. Still open but passive...If it comes, good. That kinda thing. I totally agree-go with the flow and whatever happens, happens. The universe will be in sync.... never force anything....
I am also ready to accept my fate. I guess being 42 does that to. "Maktub" as Coelho once wrote, for "it is written".
Always look on the bright side of life never have a negative attitude because negativity doesn't get you anywhere in life try be more positive on the outlook of your life and you will find it or it'll find you hope this helps!! X
I gave up looking a long time ago. I prayed to God and think I got the answer. Its cool. I go with His plan.
I didn't mean to seem nasty but often men know when women are desperate and I was just concerned that you were giving off the same vibe.
My friend is almost 48 and she got married for the first time last year!
You are 100% right - everything happens for the best.
Have faith!
