that'd be sick. id light shit on fire and do drugs all the time. that would be awesome, however my better judgement would keep me from doing so
Yeah, why?
Welfare ain't all it's cracked up to be, sure you get free stuff, but not always, and when you don't get it you're screwed, and when you do people aren't so keen to help you since the stuff is free. Customer service sucks. What you buy is (usually) better. Google has good free stuff, but the trade off is all of your personal information. You will never be able to run, or hide from Google. Anyway, back to the topic. Most of the people are really bad, and there for a reason. Some, no, and it's good to keep thinking of it that way, that it's just beyond their control, the people trying to help wouldn't be able to help if they didn't think of it that way... but some of them really are... dangerous... it's hard to change... to make your life go in the opposite direction once you're down... why would you want to be homeless now?
What you want is to be a hobo. Hobo isnt just an insult for someone dirty, it's a whole lifestyle and subculture similar to what you described. Look hobo up on wikipedia or something and you might find out more.

Yes this question was asked about a month ago I think.
And yes, I think it's normal, it would be pretty cool to just drift around with no resposibilites (and not having to worry about spelling and grammer :)
I have had these thoughts plenty of times, I've actually come really close to this. Lived in garage, almost in car, travelled a lot. Finally got sick of it and want something steady and stable.
I don't know how normal this is, but I have seen this question appear on here before.
