Is it normal that i keep a box locked and with personal things inside?

Since I was 16 years old 3 years I brought an old green metal box around the size of a shoebox. Anyways I keep this box hidden in my closet and keep the key hanging around my neck with a necklace 24/7. The reason is because I keep personal stuff inside.
There are many different things I store inside, some are pictures of my youth with my parents, pictures of me with friends, and a few objects that have special meanings to me.

    Think of it as kind of like keeping a diary, only not on paper. You add things that are meaningful to you, but keep it hidden.

    I have a keepsake box like that too, with pictures, letters and small mementos. Though mine has no lock, it's hidden in a bottom drawer with spare bedding and towels that hardly anyone ever opens.
