Is it normal that i just wanted to say bye?

I graduated from high school yesterday, so I'm happy about that. The problem is that I didn't get to say bye to one of my friends. I looked around for him at school after I graduated, but I couldn't find him so I just went home. I don't have any reason to go back to school otherwise, though I think he might still be there finishing up some credits. I felt really bad about not seeing him ever again and leaving all of a sudden, even though I didn't think I liked him that much before that. I don't know, I just think it'd make me seem like a weirdo if I went back to say bye or get his e-mail or something. Would it?
