Is it normal that i just want to live a life on the streets?

Is it normal that I just want to be a wanderer, travel a lot from city to city but sleep and live on the streets, basically living like a homeless person, hardly have any money and just live simply? Just live very randomly and freely with no guarantee of tomorrow?

So what's stopping you? Go do it.

I think you'll find that you're damn glad you've got the back up of a place to return to, or the means for which to find something.

Pretty sure actual homeless people would love that privilege.

I would say its normal to wish you had a life free of responsibility. I think you might be romanticizing the idea a bit, though. Life on the streets is a pretty gruelling existence. Most of those living on the streets usually turn to drugs or alcohol to numb themselves against a painful existence.

Have you thought it through, e.g., with regards to hygiene, nutrition, and staying warm and dry?

I walked on the river last night. It's been years since I've done so. Things have changed. People were sleeping on benches everywhere, and also on the river's edge. Before I noticed all the homeless sleepers, groups and loners every few yards, I was thinking how nice it would be to sleep on the river's edge. It was so comfortable that I could have passed out where I sat and smoked my melancholic blunt. But all up and down the river walk, couples walk idly past these helpless sleepers. The public restroom became the hapless bathhouse and has since been neglected. No soap nor toilet paper. Just a couple years ago this place was beautiful. Not just the bathroom, but the whole river walk. I didn't realize how much things had changed. Dead Sunday.

hmm... Well you'd be better off than the homeless if you plan it well! You should watch this movie on Netflix I think it's called like Craigslist Joe, I didn't finish the movie but this guy offers like help in exchange for food and a place to stay. If you decide to live on the streets pack up some stuff that would be easy to travel with.

I live in LA and every once in a while we see some hobos (not homeless) and my dad is super cool with every hobo he meets. lol Idk why he always tries to make friends with them, but alot of them are happy and we always meet them in a park or beach and we invite them to bbq with us. Seems kinda nice and they always have stories of people they met and how kind strangers are. Of course they also have bad stories but for the most part it seems kind of cool.

If you get a chance read Into The Wild. Great book, true story. I can totally dig it. I work on a railroad and see hobos all the time. They jump on the trains to get free rides following seasonal work around the country. Most of them are cool as hell and I wish I could join them even for a short time, but I have a family to support.

I went through something similar, but I was very depressed at the time.

Not saying you are, that's just how I relate to it being normal.
