Is it normal that i have trouble speaking?

I'll start off by saying that I'm very introverted (like 100% on those personality tests).

So, basically, I don't usually talk much and when I do it's mostly only to people I like about things that interest me. If I'm depressed, in a bad mood, or dislike someone I don't say anything even if they're trying to talk to me.

But the main reason I created this question is that even when I do try to talk, my words often come out jumbled (syllables or letters in the wrong order) and I often pause mid-sentence (sometimes more than once) trying to come up with the words to accurately convey my thoughts.

Somewhat often I unintentionally end up wording things in a way such that people get the wrong meaning. And when I feel stressed mentally, I usually can't get any words out no matter how hard I try.

I don't think in words, but I don't know if that has to do with it.

I get that when I'm really nervous. I'm an introvert too and like you, I also don't think in words. I think in pictures.

I talk a lot and even I tend to say my words mixed up. Think about what you want to say first and start practicing talking more

Try saying what people on TV say while the TV is on. It's a good way to practice diction.

Just practice speaking, it's normal. Or think before you speak and prepare your words.
