Is it normal that i have sorrow for mice?

I had a small brown mouse in my house. At first I was scared of it, then I felt sorry for it...since it was stuck on a trap. I pretty much felt a wave of depression when I saw it on that trap, helpless. But that doesn't mean I want it a a pet...

when i was younger i used to knock caterpillar nests down from trees. i thought they were disgusting and i hated them so much i just wanted them to die. later, when the web was all stuck to my stick and i stood looking at the pathetic things wriggling everywhere i felt like the sickest monster in the world. like we think were so much stronger and smarter than everything else but were not... in a sense... i dont really know what im saying, but yeah.. just thought id share that

  • At this time of the year, my cats just go on hunting frenzy everyday. I'm freaking tired of picking up dead bodies of mices and birds.

I only feel sorry for them is when they get caught and wounded and I can't do anything to help them.

  • I feel the same way about cockroaches I see on their back. Not enough so that I'd flip it though...
