Is it normal that i have really detailed dreams

for example just last night i had a dream:
this woman walks into an art shop nobody is there so she pokes around and goes into the employees only section and sees a sign that says KEEP OUT but she is drawn to it by some force and she uncovers this black and white painting of the forest she stares at it for a while and hears something so she snatches it and runs.
NEXT SCENE
a teenage girl is walking down the street eating candy and she sees her friend (a guy ) working under his old beat up car his dad gave him and says hey ..he gets kinda startled at first then rolls from beneath the car. When he sees who it is he gets embarrassed because his wife-beater has black grease splotches all over it he tries to clean himself off and says hey she comments the car and says nice job and he says oh thank you just then the radio next to him changes to rock n roll heart by Eric Clapton and the girl says i love this song and he says really its my favorite in an excited tone. He tries to ask her out but just then he sees a guy leaning on a red corvette wearing stonewashed jeans a black leather jacket shades and black boots and black shoulder length hair and the girl runs to him and practically jumps in his arms the guy thats working on the car sighs the girl yells back BYE and the guy waves and sadly walks back to his old car.
NEXT SCENE
the woman who stole the painting then hung the painting up in her living room.it had this odd sinister look to it. she then walks into the kitchen and turns on some music and starts to hum the song when the music starts plump large and creepy spiders start crawling out of the painting as if it was coming out of the wilderness. there were soon thousands of spiders crawling about when she walked into her living room there were so many spiders the floor was nothing but a moving black mass she screamed and tried to kill them by stepping on them but it was no use and they overpowered her they devoured her body in little to no time.
The neighbor heard the screams and went to investigate the door was unlocked so she let herself in. she saw a skeleton still with flesh stuck to the bones and a pool of blood surrounding the carcass she let out a blood curdling scream and tried to run as she suspected there was a murderer in the house but she was wrong just then music started playing and yet again spiders poured out of the sinister painting but this time the spiders embodied itself into a black form in the shape of a human it was slightly transparent i guess you could say it was some kind of evil spirit anyways it possessed the woman. Her eyes turned pitched black and she flashed a nightmarish crooked smile and let out a wicked laugh that was scary enough to make someone shudder.

THERE'S MORE TO THE STORY BUT I DON'T WANT TO BORE YOU AND MAKE YOU READ A WHOLE BOOK.

I have detailed dreams like that as well... very linear and story line based.

I also dream in color and I very rarely forget a dream I've had.

I can remember dreams I had from 5 years old.

I don't think its normal, I'm not sure if your being honest and you really do dream this way. If this is true.. You would be the first person I ever met thats said they dream the way I do.

Having dreams can be very much like watching an imaginary movie.

I don't understand what's so detailed about it, more detailed than dreams period. Plenty of dreams are about scenarios that are supposed to be taking place in life (but it's like, imagination) and one can't get more detailed than real life..

I think perhaps you're using the wrong word or explaining it wrong. Before I even read this I thought hmm what in the world could s/he possibly mean? How can uou have dreams that are more detailed than life?

It's not the detail, its that they can remember all the detail. Normal people forget after about ten minutes after waking up.

Oh my god........seriously that much detail from a dream?? Are you sure you haven't got an overactive imagination and you're filling in the blanks when you're awake?? That's so creepy
