Is it normal that i have only ever liked one person?

When I started my second-to-last year at High School (5 years ago), I fell for this one guy, but never got together with him. In my last year of High School, he got a girlfriend, with whom he is still together. Is it normal that I have never liked anyone else before or after him? I still like him. When I walk across my campus, or wherever really, I start to even subconsciously compare other guys to him, and they always seem lacking. I tried to be attracted to other people, but it just won't work. I even thought I might be a lesbian or something, but that's not it. Am I asexual, just weird, or is there really something like THE ONE and I just missed out on him?

    This doesn't sound like asexuality, more like you found a person who you like a lot and it just so happens that you haven't liked anybody else. If you've only liked one person that just means that you've only come across one person who you connected with, that's not really anybody's fault that's just your experience with people. I've only liked a handful of girls so that's why I don't really see this as too odd.

    Have you ever dated anyone else? It doesn't mean anything to compare people, you liked the guy, you're attracted to his kind of qualities.

    Don't overlook possible relationships, just because the guy you're talking to doesn't meet the same qualities as the guy you liked. It's hard for anyone to match up, when you put this guy on a pedestal.

    If he was the guy for you then you would have ended up with him. Just give other guys a shot, if the one really exists, you'll never meet him if you don't let this one go.

    My guess is that you are asexual and you're just infatuated with him. Doesn't sound you're attracted to him in that way. It's highly unlikely you didn't like anyone else besides him, unless all guys in your area are ugly as hell. Try to give another guy a chance. By the way, can you imagine having sex with the guy you like? Or with any other guy for that matter?
