Is it normal that i have no desire to get married or have kids?

I have been dating my boyfriend for a little over two years. We talk about getting married and he really wants to, I'm just not sure I want to. He also wants kids and I don't think I want kids. My mother says I'll get a time or moment where I realize I want a family with kids, but I don't think I will. I really don't want to break up with my boyfriend because he wants to get married and have kids and I don't. Do you think as I get a little older I will want a family with kids? But what I'm really curious about is, Is it normal that I have no desire to get married or have kids? Please help.

    Yeah, marriage is a 3 year contract these days; way too big an engagement really.

    I think it's ok to not want to get married or have kids. It's hard to feel that way because most people do want these things. I think it's fine to date someone and never marry, however, is it fair to your partner not to have his needs met if he wants a wife and kids. You need to have a discussion with him about your goals for the future and decide what's fair.
