Is it normal that i have no desire for a relationship, im 18?

So I've never really been interested in having a relationship, im an 18 year old straight girl and just can't be bothered in dating. Almost everyone one I know is keen to date and usually start young, at around 14 plus...Is there something wrong with me, I love being single, am a virgin, and never have had the desire for sex...I just feel that I'm always going to be this way which doesn't bother me atm but it bothers other people in the way that they think im weird or somethings wrong with me as I don't want a bf..?

    You are very smart! Enjoy your youth you dont need a man at this stage in your life. And good for you for staying a virgin, so may girls have sex before they are ready and they end up getting really hurt. I was one of those girls, and while I dont really regret the fact that i started dating young (cos I have a wealth of knowledge and experience now) but I could have saved myself a lot of heartache if I had waited a bit longer. Anyway you're on the right track, and one day when you are ready, you will meet a nice guy.

      ohh, I understand..I just find it easy staying this way and being a virgin and all as it's like breathing to me plus i'm also scared of "doing it" but also don't desire anything as well. But thanks for your great comment!

    I have been in and out of that feeling..it's different for everyone. Everyone's background is different. I wasn't in a serious relationship until I was 19 (intimate). Later, I was married and divorced and not interested in dating for a few years after that..then ended up happily remarrying. You have a lot of life left if you live to be 80...so do what feels right for you at any given time. There may be some ups and downs..I have sure been there.

    Yes. I have no interest in having a relationship with someone either. I've never had one before and i probably never will. But i'm cool with that.

    Not really but I would say you're lucky. If I wasn't such a horny little fuck, High School would have been a lot easier.

    By nature, most humans desire company and sexual pleasure. You're not normal however, I don't think you're wrong. I'd certainly say you have an advantage XD

    You are an Asexual, read up on it. I have a friend who is asexual as well, although I think its because he weighs like 250 pounds. Don't know what's up with you, but whether its normal or not depends on your definition or normal.
    It's not part of the norm (something most people in society do), but it does exist (normal).
