I am a senior in High school and have never had the urge to drink or smoke. Most of the guys at my school drink regularly. They drink to be cool and most of the girls are perfectly ok with it, some even like it.
That's normal in high school. Just be yourself. If you dont want to drink, then dont drink. If anyone judges you for wanting to be clean than tell them to suck a bag of dicks.
It's NOT normal for you to be so different. It means that you are a WINNER, because you have a mind of your own.
All these smokers and drinkers are LOSERS. Ten years from now when they are wheezing and coughing and short of breath and trying every "stop smoking" aid on the market they will envy you.
Some of them will go to an early grave because of the choices you all are making today. Hold your ground!
I've seen soo many of my classmates and peers lose their jobs and/or their marriages due to problems caused by alcohol consumption. Some of them lost their lives and some of them killed other people.
I have been a smoker and a drinker in the past and I can tell you that if those things had been good for me and added an ounce of happiness to my life I would still be doing them. I wouldn't have struggled for many years to get those destructive deadly habits out of my life.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Good luck!
Good for you. It's called being intelligent, which is an incredibly hard trait to find among our stupid society.
Normal. Back when I used to be in school, the other students were like that too. I never found the appeal of any of it. I'm 27 and I still don't see the appeal of cigarettes, weed, or alcohol. I'm not knocking the people who like it, it's just not for me.
No one has the urge stuff toxic liquid or smoke up their piehole....but unfortunately it is normal for teens to give in to peer pressure to b with the cool crowd
Honestly, that is awesome! Most kids who have the urge get hooked and it is really hard to stop!
