I am a man who just turned 28 years old and I have never been in a relationship. I love to be with some woman whom I will love and have a family with, but I am tired of thinking because I don't want a sex partner or a temporary relationship.
I am very romantic and I really want to get married to a woman that I will spend the rest of my life with, so, I am waiting. But, I am a worried it won't be possible.
Is it normal to think that way ?

    I'd like to give you an advice. Romance doesn't hop out of nothing. You dreams' girl will not fall into your arms by accident, that's almost a fact. So get out, have some sex, some stupid relationships with girls you don't give a shit about. Hopefully, one day, one of these girls will turn out to be more interesting than you thought.

    P.S. No, that won't be the one. But repeat the process a few times, and you should get to the point :P

    How are you going to know if you've met the right woman if you have never been in a relationship. It may take some time to realise a girl you are in a relationship with is the right one... so be careful with the waiting

      I don't have any personal problems, on the contrary, I am a very good and respectful man and I know that others enjoy my company.
      But, I think my real problem is my idealistic way of thinking which is best explained by the all-or-none rule.
      But, you are right, I have to work on this, may be I should lower my expectations and standards after all, and try to reach a compromise.
      BTW, the "cock block" expression is really funny, but I am not just after sex. LOL

    Yes, fear of the unknown can cause anxiety. The best thing is to try some meditation for inner peace and be patient. Otherwise, this irrational, anxious side will take over and cause you to lose touch with yourself and what you want. The last thing you need is to settle for less, out of fear of not succeeding. Hang in there, you'll find the right person when you least expect it. :)

      Actually, I am not stressed or anxious at all, because if I want to have a relationship right now, I will be able to do it easily.
      But, I think that my problem is that I am an idealistic person who seeks a perfect match especially regarding personality, romance and commitment that -I am afraid- is not there anymore.
      Should I wait or just give up ?
      That is the question.
