I am 18 and I have never asked anyone out, I have never been on a date, and I have never had sex. People have tried to ask me out, but I have never been interested. I never had a crush on anyone and I have never had sexual thoughts about anyone. Hell, I don't even masturbate because nothing makes me feel aroused at all. I want to have a husband or wife and kids one day, but I just don't seem to have any sexual interest in anyone. I have never understood why people constantly want to have sex or can't keep it in their pants. Is this considered normal?

    You're probably asexual. I'm the same way, but I don't experience romantic attraction either. It's a good thing, though. You won't be distracted by silly primitive urges like most of the other proles in our world, and your productivity will increase due to having the intelligence not to.

    Our world is also incredibly overpopulated and the last thing we need is more humans, so that's another of the infinite repository of positive things about being asexual.

    See a counselor....sexual shaming if its severe enough can be a form of sexual abuse...you probably are attracted to the same sex...but your family has made you fear that possibility that you killed your feelings....you need to learn to embrace who you are and tell your family to f off

    It might be normal. Depending on the selection of mates u have. Some ppl try to hard that's a turn off. They are aggressive and forceful. No good. Most aren't in shape and if they are they think they are to good. Idk character and looks and personality. Heck not missing much just study get a masters or doctorate and worry about that later when u have money and no stress. You can pick the best of the bunch then

      It's also quite normal for many, many girls to be extremely sexual. I thought that was the norm for girls, not the opposite....I'm one of the high libido females. I just thought it was taught that we "weren't like men" and didn't have sex drives...Didn't know some women actually considered it normal to have no sex drive.

    You don't if you want a husband or wife. Maybe that the problem. Maybe you are bisexual. If your not, weather you are male or female gay or straight when you figure this out you would want sex. Unless you're asexual then you need not to worry.

    If that was normal the human race would be doomed.
    Without being indelicate, have you been sexually abused? This is a fairly common defense mechanism of the abused. You may even have completely blocked the incident out of your memory.
    My suggestion would be to see a psychiatrist and see if there is some cause for this, or just who you are. And that's alright too, but if it is a psychological defense mechanism, then you could get past it to the more normal life you say you desire.

      Hmmm... That actually sounds pretty legit considering I have a series of anxiety disorders and depression. I had an aunt babysat every weekend who used to shame me for showing skin when I was 4-8. She also yelled a lot whenever I acted tomboyish or when I talked about playing with other boys at school. idk if that counts or not.
