Is it normal that i have little/no respect for people who covet money

I know so many people in the UK and all they care about is what make, model and price their car is, how many houses they own, what their houses cost, what brands of clothing they wear. I am British but have travelled the world, mostly to developing countries. I have noticed that British people value individualism which is why they will not think twice about putting older people into homes when they become infirm. A friend of mine contacted me the other day to say that his father had died and he wanted advice on appealing his fathers's will so he could get more than 50%. His father had been dead for less than one week. I also know people who want two or three houses because accumulating wealth is exceptionally important to them. I just think that any one of us could die tomorrow, so why covet something that you cannot take with you.

I say spend more on travel experiences than material goods.

You are absolutely right. The Brits are hysterical, insular, spendthrift idiots with an impoverished sense of community.
