Is it normal that i have issues with tampons?

I got my period a couple of years ago, and I have not been able to figure out for the life of me HOW TO GET A TAMPON IN! I've just been using pads because of this. Is this normal?

    Totally normal. Ask someone to help you. I was too scared to ask and didn't figure it out until i lost my virginity. I was like OOH that hole!

    Follow the directions...relax..I had to try it a few times to get it right.

    I tried tampons, didn't like them. It just boils down to personal choice, pads are much more comfortable for me than having something wedged up there while I'm cramping.

    there are kinds that come with an "applicator", may try those.

    I've been having my period for almost 5 years and never once used a tampon. They seem unnatural and unsafe. Pads are chill.
