Is it normal that i have feelings for my bestfriend

okay, here I go. I'm a girl, I like boys, but there is one girl I like, it's not like I am lesbian or bi (though it's okay for people to be) but I have very strong feelings for my bestfriend who is a girl. Sometimes I just want to kiss her and sometimes I think about more. I know I can't talk to her about that because she thinks people liking the same gender is kinda weird (though she's not homophobic). Is it normal for me to feel like that?

It can possibly mean you are bi since you do like both boys and girls with the way you feel about your friend you seem to have a physical attraction to her... A physical attraction is one of the criteria in what links a person to their sexual orientation... As I do not know how old you are I will tell you this do not act irrationally, try and keep this to yourself until you are ready to live with the decision and consequences of your actions.

  • The reason you feel that way is because you know so much about her

I have the same problem! But I'm bi. And I'm scared to tell her how I feel because I don't want to lose her as my friend.

I think you must be bi- to a degree. Many people aren't merely just 'gay' 'straight' or 'bi'; loads of peeps are shades of the inbetween. I beleive you are almost straight, but this friend has touched your heart.

I'd tell her, if I were you, on a sleepover with just you guys, late on. Wait until you've been talking and chatting for a while, getting on like you always have. Tehn tell her there's something you want to admit. Go for it then, see what she says. If she's really your best friend, even if she doesn't like it, she'll stick by you. You never know, it might turn out that she likes girls (people often 'cover up' their true sexuality by pretending they think differently oriented people are wierd. I know I do, by accident. It's kinda a way of keeping in the closet).

its normal to be bi or gay or have these feelings but its not normal to be in such a state of denial that you truly believe you are straight. its ok not to be but if you think about kissing a girl or even more than you must not be straight. it took me 5 years ti accept the fact that I am lesbian; you will get there. it takes time but don't run from it or to it. It will come to you and it will feel right. I believe In you
