Hair is normal; unfortunately, the media give us the impression that it's unnatural and unattractive. In order to fit into mainstream society, you'll have to do something about that excess hair.

Medically there is nothing wrong, although if you are a girl and have lots of hair in strange places then you may have more testosterone than normal. I'm not sure how big of a problem that could be, but definitely something you could mention to your doctor. Many overweight women have this problem for some reason. I'm not sure why - I haven't looked it up. If you are female, get it waxed or laser hair removal.
There are some guys hat like hairy women, but I don't know of many. Personally, I prefer women to have as little body hair as possible. Shaving isn't a good option usually since it will show up again quickly and it will be prickly. You also may get ingrown hairs which are itchy and give you little red bumps that others might mistake for acne or worse(herpes) if it's in the genital area. From a 24 year old man, my suggestion would be wax or some kind of long term hair removal system. Nair supposedly works as well although it has never worked well for me.

Hair growth is based pretty much off ur genes and has nothing to do with how much u shave it. Nair works well but can cause rashes and skin irritation for some people. I would suggest just shaving it.
